HEARTLAND VILLAGE ARCHITECTURE

There are many distinctive characteristics that make Heartland Village such a special place to live, but most notable are the homes themselves. We have teamed up with talented architects to bring you these wonderful floor plans and unique exteriors that cannot be found anywhere else.

Heartland Village homes are designed by Ken Dahlin from Genesis Architecture and Brooks Ballard of Home Patterns. Ken Dahlin’s talents have been highly rewarded by the Better Homes & Gardens group, as he won the “Innovations in Housing” competition two times, capturing the coveted Home of the Year three times, unprecedented to date. Ken’s architectural firm, Genesis Architecture, strives to achieve the pure beauty, harmony, and authentic styling of each and every home.

Brooks Ballard of Home Patterns is a home and neighborhood designer. He founded Home Patterns LLC in 2001 and has been designing bungalows and unique neighborhoods since. Brooks has worked on such varied projects such as streetscapes for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, sustainable homes for eco-friendly islands off the coast of South Carolina, and renovations of historic churches in Brooklyn, New York. With an educational background in both architecture and urban planning, Brooks brings a holistic design perspective to his practice. Small details compose the big picture - this is evident in both his homes and neighborhoods.
